Find clarity. Together.

Through nature, ritual, and community, give yourself the space to find clarity to build what is true to you.

October 15 - 18, 2026

Cambridge, NY

Reconnection to self is the prerequisite for aligned action in a world and system that was not designed with everyone in mind —and that, for many, is no longer working as promised.

In 2025 alone, more than 455,000 women exited the U.S. workforce, not because of a lack of ambition or capability, but because the cost to their well-being, values, and sense of self was too high.

That data point reflects a broader truth:

Many people are quietly stepping back from systems that demand too much and give too little.

We don’t need to be complicit anymore to a system that wasn’t designed for us. We don’t need to follow the script.

This time of uncertainty holds a special opportunity—a chance to rewrite the script altogether.

You have the autonomy and the agency to create the environments you lead and operate in. Your power is built on your experience, skills, passion… and that missing piece: clarity.

This retreat is not about serenity for its own sake or ambition for its own sake. It’s not a escape from reality.

It is about creating the conditions to return to yourself, so you can move forward with clarity, integrity, and agency.

What we’re gathering for:

  • To slow down and hear what’s true

  • To acknowledge what’s no longer working

  • To name the gap between who we are and the life we’re living

  • To rekindle self-trust

  • To experience community as a corrective to isolation

  • To leave with a grounded sense of where you are and what comes next

  • To tap into the power of communal ritual to find a path forward individually and collectively

We’re told that we should do so much of this work alone. But it’s in community, through nature and ritual, that we can remember the power of interdependence.

About your hosts

We met in business school over a decade ago. We've spent the years since working in corporate world, doing the work, and asking the same questions we'll be sitting with together in October.

Kathryn is a creator, coach, and founder of The Truth Is.

Sarah is a sauna Aufguss master and the founder of Badii.

The Truth Is has always been about permission, to go quiet long enough to hear your own voice again. Sarah's work through Badii gets you there through the body. Together, that's a weekend of the examined life and the embodied one, at the same time.

We built this because we needed it too.

The serene countryside of Cambridge, New York—about 3 hours from NYC and surrounded by rolling hills, nature, and peace

Location and setting

We didn't choose Sowilo because it's beautiful — though it is. We chose it because it creates the conditions this work requires.

Nestled between the Adirondacks and Vermont's Green Mountains in Cambridge, New York, Sowilo holds geodesic domes and tiny houses set deep in the trees, a full Nordic spa circuit — sauna, cold plunge, salt room with red light and infrared therapy — a dedicated yoga and sound healing studio, and farm-to-table meals prepared on site.

Nature has always been one of the most reliable pathways back to yourself. The forest, the heat, the cold, the stillness — these aren't amenities. They're part of the practice. We chose this place because every element of it supports what we're here to do: slow down, feel what's true, and make space for what comes next.

  • Less than 3.5 hours from Manhattan, Boston, and Providence, RI

  • 4.5 from Portland, Maine

  • 4 hours from Rochester, NY

  • And only 2.5 hours from Hartford, CT
